- Can I buy directly from RIO Brands?
No. RIO Brands does not sell directly
to consumers, but our products are sold
at retailers everywhere. We’re
always happy to help you find a retailer
that carries the product you are looking
for. To make a specific request about

- Are all of your products made in America?
Our American Patriot Flag line is made in the USA. Most, but not all of our other products are imported. We have American staff stationed at our off-shore factories 365 days a year to ensure our quality is kept at our exacting levels.
- Is RIO Brands an environmentally friendly company?
Yes, we do our very best to avoid endangering the environment around our facilities. Both of our manufacturing plants conform to all EPA regulations. We use recycled corrugated in our boxes, and minimize waste wherever possible.
- Where is the company based?
Our corporate offices and main facility are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We also have a satellite facility in San Antonio, Texas.
- Are you a public or a private company? Can I buy stock?
RIO Brands is a private company, and no stock is available for purchase. Thank you for your interest. We consider your inquiry a great compliment.
- What colors are available in your products?
Our beach chairs, umbrellas and bags are available in a wide variety of colors and patterns, and the colors change each year. To see the full range, please browse through our site.
- Can I get a bag to match the chair?
Yes. In fact, our entire beach line is based around the concept of coordinating patterns and colors between chairs, bags and umbrellas, to enable you to look coordinated in your own section of the beach.
- How long has RIO Brands been around?
The company began as All-Luminum in 1947, after the Founder returned from World War II. It has been family owned and operated ever since.
- Can I buy for my RIO Creations patio set?
Our products are generally manufactured to our retail customer’s based specific programs. Check with the store from which your set was purchased to see if they offer coordinating pieces. If you do not find it there, contact us (link) to check if it is available anywhere else.
- Can coordinating or extra pieces be ordered direct from RIO Brands?
Regrettably, we are not able to accommodate individual consumer requests for product. We produce for our retail customers in the thousands of pieces and our whole operation is geared to these volume shipments.
- Can I buy just one extra chair?
Some retailers offer our products individually, other retailers sell in sets only. We have no control over this; our retail customers decide how they will sell our products to the consumer.
- Does your warranty include coverage for breakage of glass?
Glass breakage and replacement is never covered or handled by the manufacturer or retailer. This is a standard in the outdoor casual furniture industry. Our glass tabletops are tempered for strength and safety. While not a common problem, there are too many potential causes for glass breakage to cover this eventuality.
- In the unlikely case that the glass table top breaks, can it be replaced?
Check your local yellow pages or on-line for shops that special in "glass replacement." Be sure to tell them you need 1/4" tempered glass to maintain the factory safety specifications.
- I checked the parts in the carton against the parts list on the instruction sheet, and I have a piece missing. What should I do?
Please do not contact the store where you purchased your sets. Our retailer customers do not keep extra parts on hand. Call 1-800-PARTS-90. We will send you your missing piece(s) within 72 hours.
- How can I care for my furniture to keep it looking its best and last longer?
- Safety and Care Instructions:
*For your safety, the umbrella must be used with a cast metal or plastic
umbrella base (not included) filled with water or sand for weight. Follow
the instructions of the manufacturer of the base.
- For your reference, the diameter of the pole in this set is 1-1/4”.
*In case of windy weather, the umbrella should be either be closed or
removed.
*Clean table top, base and chair frames with mild soap and water and dry
with paper towel or cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrub pads as it may damage the finish.
*Chair covers and umbrella can also be cleaned with mild soap and water and air-dried.
*Check the tightness of all hardware regularly to ensure best stability and
safety.
*The glass tabletop is tempered for strength, but care should be used when
setting down heavier servings bowls, platters, etc.
*Covering the table and chairs with a cover will extend the life of your set and keep it cleaner. In climates with snow and ice during winter, storing the set out of the weather will also help add years of enjoyable service.
- Will the furniture rust?
Rust should not be an issue with furniture that have aluminum frames.
While we treat the metal to resist rust, furniture with steel frames may rust if the finish is scratched and exposed to air and rain. If this occurs, promptly sand the area lightly with very fine sand paper or steel wool. Then touch up sparingly with a rust-resistant paint, covering the damaged area.
- Can the cushions be placed a clothes washing machine?
No. Use mild soap and water or an upholstery/fabric cleaner to treat the areas that are soiled. Always follow the directions on the cleaning product’s labeling and test first in an inconspicuous place for colorfastness before applying to a visible area of the fabric.
- My furniture has Nyatoh wood accents. How do I care for these parts?
Applying an oil-based wood preservative each season will help maintain the finish. Wood oils and sealers should be available at hardware stores.
- Are extra cushions or patio covers available from RIO creations?
We do not offer cushions or furniture covers for sale. We recommend visiting a home improvement center or specialty patio shop.
